Girl Dies After Sex Disease Vaccination
September 29, 2009 1 CommentA girl has died shortly after getting the HPV vaccine.
She was 14 and got this vaccine in school, as many youngsters have done since the vaccination program came out to help protect these girls from cancer.
This is an incredibly controversial issue.
Ever since the vaccine came out in 2006 for certain strands of HPV, a sexually transmitted disease (STD) that has been found to lead to 70% of cervical cancer, there has been endless debate over the safety and need for this drug.
Personally, I believe that the only reason people are debating this is because it is related to sex and young girls. Most of the vaccination programs are in schools, and nobody wants to think of schoolgirls having sex. Most especially their parents who need to approve of them getting the vaccine.
But the reluctance of these parents to be realistic and look into the (not so distant) future could lead to horrible results for their children. The average age of first sex is 16, with most people having it by the time they are in the first couple years of university.
Of course parents want to think that their girls will not get any STDs, and they will always use condoms, but this is unrealistic and barring their daughters from the vaccine could lead to much worse consequences if they end up with cancer.
What people need to remember is that every vaccination has side effects and every medical procedure can lead to complications.
Nausea and dizziness are common side effects from many vaccines, this one is no different. As well, people can die from any vaccination if they have a medical complication, but the number that die compared to the number that are fine is very different.
Vaccinations in general have also had a bad reputation lately for being blamed for causing austism spectrum disorders. This has since been proved wrong.
In this case the girl may not have died because of anything to do with the vaccination.
The incident happened shortly after the girl had received her HPV vaccine in the school. No link can be made between the death and the vaccine until all the facts are known and a post-mortem takes place.
At this stage we don’t know what was the tragic cause of this child’s death, so whether or not it’s linked we cannot say, but these are the sort of things one would look for – a severe allergic reaction or more likely a coincidence.
This is the first death possibly related to the vaccine in the UK and there have been 32 in America, but none have been confirmed.
It is tragic that a young girl has died.
But I’m willing to bet the major complication she had, if it was related to the vaccine, is something unique within her body and not something the media should use as a scare tactic to prevent further vaccinations.
With the estimated risk of potentially life-threatening reactions at only 1 per million doses and over 3,000 British women contracting and 1,000 dying from cervical cancer every year, it’s time we stopped arguing about the sexuality of young girls and faced the fact that this vaccination is a blessing.
We would not be having this argument if it was a cure for diabetes or asthma, would we?

This is bullshit, not science
