Birth Control Injection For Men

October 5, 2009 No Comments

Researchers are recruiting for a trial birth control injection for men in Scotland.

Getting an injection to lower sperm count will work better than condoms and is fully reversible.

Research on male contraceptives continues to progress and hopefully in the near future men will be able to share in the responsibilities as much as women.

Once this new contraceptive is developed it will be a great benefit to our society and will allow couples to make decisions with more equality and women who have difficulty taking hormones to have other options.

I have heard it said that men could not be trusted to be in charge of birth control, but people need to realise how sexist this statement is. It’s time we allow men to prove they are responsible and are equally invested in preventing unwanted pregnancies.
