Keeping Mum

I hate the poster for Motherhood.

She looks pissed off and as if she is desperate to say something but can’t because of the dummy in her mouth.

Either there was a really talented designer for the poster, or the studio is just accidentally implying that motherhood shuts women up. (Video after jump)

In the trailer she just can’t keep it together. She feeds her kids the wrong things, she walks around town in a nightie and she has lost her reason for being.

“What is your passion?” Anthony Edwards asks Uma Thurman’s character, who immediately bursts into tears.

As a woman who might possibly have kids one day, I am equal parts depressed and offended.

This is a far cry from the days of Kill Bill where she played The Bride.
