Soldiers Win Beauty Pagents, Too

The feminist movement has allowed women to achieve any and all of their dreams, including being both a soldier and a beauty queen.
Lance Corporal Katrina Hodge has become Miss England and after the Miss World 2009 Festival L/Cl Hodge will go on to serve in Afghanistan next year.
This shows that being feminine and being a soldier are not mutually exclusive and that there is nothing weak about being a beauty queen.
L/Cl Hodge has hoped that “taking part in the competition would help charities working with British servicemen and women”.

Rachel Christie lost her crown after brawling with Sara Jones at a porn-themed party. They were fighting over Royal Marine David McIntosh, also known as ‘Tornado’ on the show Gladiators.
I’m not a fan of beauty pageants but it does sound like Katrina Hodge is a better candidate for the crown.
Actually, if Miss England is supposed to represent the country, they should be awarded extra points for the traditional past-times of drinking and brawling. (Mick)
