Quest For Perfect Vulva Increases Surgeries

Labioplasty, or surgery on the outer part of the vulva, is increasing as women search for “aesthetically pleasing genitals”.
This is in spite of a lack of knowledge about any long-term effects.
Women must understand that there is no such thing as a perfect vulva and by giving in to this surgery there are some very serious physical side effects (not to mention it costs £3,000).
Women do this for reasons such as not liking how their labia looks or pain with rubbing on clothes or bike riding.
But consultant gynaecologist Sarah Creighton and psychologist Lih-Mei Liao challenged the ethics of offering women surgery to address such insecurities, suggesting it was adverts for a “homogenised, pre-pubescent genital appearance” which created these anxieties in the first place.
They also suggested that any pain apparently caused by protrusion may well have a psychological root – noting that male genitalia protrude far further without causing major discomfort.
“Women who undergo this procedure might experience similar problems in childbirth as those who have experienced female genital mutilation”. This includes increased tearing and bleeding after labour plus increased sexual problems because of nerve damage that leads to “impairing sexual sensitivity and satisfaction”.
The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons says that these negative effects are not true but a scare tactic to stop women from getting the surgery. They say that
They’ve gone a bit over the top. Essentially this is just about removing a bit of loose flesh, leaving behind an elegant-looking labia with minimum scarring. The procedure won’t interfere with sexual function.
Elegant-looking labia?! Sorry, but it certainly sounds like the surgeons are encouraging this surgery through spreading the myth of the perfect vulva.
This is a serious issue that needs to be addressed publicly. There is no such thing as the perfect vulva. Yes they might look a bit funny, but that’s normal. Just as every penis is a different size, shape, colour, and can be uneven or asymmetrical, the same goes for the vulva.
Women of the world, your vulva is perfect naturally and unless there are serious medical problems, which is usually NOT the case, there is absolutely no reason to cut it up and reshape it just to look like some porn star who was probably also uneven and funny looking before her surgery!

Just gonna weigh my options:
1. Pay thousands of bucks and maybe not be able to have an orgasm ever again
2. Have my labia look less than elegant
Hmm, gonna have to sleep on this one (Mick).
