Trouble With Sex? At Least You Don't Have To Live Up To God's Reputation

A New Zealand church erected a billboard advertising for their services which caused outcry from some community members.
It shows Joseph and Mary lying in bed, clearly after sex, with looks of embarrassment and confusion respectively.
“Poor Joseph. God was a hard act to follow”.
The church had no regrets about fuelling discussion about God: ”We are glad that discussion about Santa, food, and present-buying was momentarily usurped by a discussion about Jesus.”
The Rev Cardy said there had been hundreds of messages of support from around the world and he thanked the people who were supportive, offered encouragement and respectful engagement.
I love this billboard. It’s clearly trying to be modern, titillate people’s interest in religion, and get more devotees to go to this particular church. I know I’d be curious to meet their minister.
Sex sells after all!
