Curvy Models Make It To The Top
January 25, 2010 1 CommentWe have been following the trend of plus-size (i.e. normal like the rest of us) models for a while now.
They have been in magazines and on the catwalk for a while but it seems like they have finally made it to be larger than life on the billboards of Manhattan.
Is this just a trend or will normal size women become part of the regular fashion media?
V Magazine published the photo above as well as a few others showing women in bathing suits, bras, topless in jeans, and even in the nude.
I welcome this trend and I hope it becomes the norm. There are millions of gorgeous women who would be great models, but because they are not a size zero they have been made to feel unworthy and fat.
It’s also about time people saw normal women in media because without them these women do look fat by comparison.
As a normal size woman myself I hate to admit it, but some of these pictures do seem to be fat. And I know they are not. I have been conditioned like the rest of the world to see them as that, in spite of the fact that they are normal, beautiful women. It’s time people stopped thinking this way and appreciated the beauty in front of them.
Congratulations to V Magazine and I hope this continues.
