1000 Naked People Make Art In UK
May 2, 2010 No CommentsThey gathered together at 10:30 in Peel Park to get naked.
The installation, entitled Everyday People, was organised by Spencer Tunick who is famous for his work with nudity.
“I think being naked creates a new meaning for the background. It creates a relationship between the concrete world and the real world,” Tunick told the Telegraph.
The art is taking place in eight places around Salford and Manchester.
The volunteers involved said it was an interesting experience.
“There’s something about people taking their clothes off that is a real leveller,” said Bob McDevitt, who has participated in these events before.
“Prejudices and concerns go out the window. It was about learning and expressing what it is to be human.”
Basically, it was a reminder that under our clothes, we all have bums.
