Emergency Contraception Will Be Available Online In Uk

Boots, one of the major pharmacies in the UK, will soon allow sales of emergency contraception (EC) through their website.
People say this will lead to more promiscuity, STIs, and even younger girls being at risk.
But this is all wrong.
One Christian health professional even said, “And there is the concern that young girls entering a sexual relationship too early will suffer emotionally when it breaks down.”
So allowing easier access to EC will lead to break ups and emotional break downs? Hardly. When they do break up they will be glad they were able to access the pill and don’t have a baby and a requirement to spend time with their loser ex for the rest of their life for the sake of the child.
To buy over the internet you need a credit card. You need £25 to spare. You need to have the package delivered to your house.
I’m sorry but what teenager in the world is going to want to buy into this system?
When I was young banks wouldn’t give credit cards to people under 18. Or they would need a card from their parents. But most parents don’t hand out credit cards willy nilly. And if they do, they would have access to the bills. So they would know exactly what their kids were buying.
And if these are the kind of parents who would allow their kids to buy EC on their credit cards, they would also be the kind of parents who have open relationships with their kids and talk to them about sex. This also means that they would be the kind of families who have been shown to lead to less sexual risk-taking and less underage sex.
I’m sure that most teenagers will continue to go to the youth clinics and family planning clinics where EC is handed out for free in the UK.
EC over the internet will be wonderful for those adult women with jobs and credit cards who, for whatever reason, can’t make it to the clinic or the pharmacy during opening hours.
