Conservative Warrior Women Take Back America… From The Republicans
September 17, 2010 1 CommentConservative women are storming the gates, ready to take back America.
A new documentary (in the Michael Moore style) Fire from the Heartland: The Awakening of The Conservative Woman chronicles the rise of the female side of the Republican party.
Fire From The Heartland from Citizens United on Vimeo.
Yep, that is Ann Coulter saying “It is stunning how much of the passion of the conservative movement comes from the women.”
The film is supposed to be a look at the rise of the conservative women in politics, starting from the successful blockage of the Equal Rights Amendment (yay?). The bad guys are the power hungry liberals.
Yet when you look at the trailer, and what conservative women are saying, it seems as if they have been let down, not by their society, but by their party. All these terrible things have happened, and where was the Republican Party?
“Conservative women are the last line of defense,” the film states, their champions apparently already having failed the task.
Washington insiders on both sides of the aisle have been dismissive of Sarah Palin as a popular flash in the pan with no staying power, but she has proven she is a force to be reckoned with.
The shocking Republican nomination of anti-masturbationist Christine O’Donnell as Delaware Senator has made it abundantly clear that loud conservative women are taking over their party.
She said in a literary review entitled The Women of Middle Earth:
When we first met Eowyn, she was conflicted about the fire inside of her. For her whole life she was expected to behave like Arwen [calm and serene], though she desired to take an active role in stopping the downward changes occurring in her country. When this wasn’t permitted, the wild spirit in her was stifled and gave way to bitterness and despair. It is only when she reconciles her femininity with her warrior spirit that the torment is gone, and her true womanhood is discovered.
Conservative women see their country being threatened and they will no longer sit back and wait for help. The warrior inside them has awoken and the Republican party better step aside.
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
