Wild Women And Bad Boys
October 28, 2010 No CommentsIn Hollywood, when a girl goes bad, she’s gone. Like a magic trick, all of her roles go up in smoke. *Poof!*
Not so with the men. A night on the town that ends up in a jail cell, with a beaten woman crying in the interview room, is just par for the course. Boys will be boys!
Charlie Sheen’s hotel rampage will have no effect on his career. He will return to the set of Two And A Half Men on Tuesday, after filming a small part in a movie.
Sure the talk show mavens will wag their finger and say “Naughty boy,” but at this point he has worked that into his schtick. He’s a lovable rogue and is also rumoured to be the highest-paid man on television.
Lindsay Lohan, on the other hand, is irredeemable. She was fired from the Other Side, before the film had even begun shooting, because execs said she was no longer bankable.
Years ago, when Lohan was a fresh-faced virgin, the offers were rolling in, but with every story about her party-girl lifestyle she is offered fewer and fewer parts.
The problem with hiring an actor with personal trouble is that the public looks up to them. Studios don’t want to be associated with someone who is a bad influence. So let’s compare their criminal behaviour to see what gets you black-listed in Hollywood.
Lindsay
May 2007 — Struck a curb with her car, charged with driving under the influence.
July 2007 — Arrested for five counts, including driving under the influence of alcohol, driving on a suspended license and possession of narcotics.
July 2010 — Sentenced to 90 days in jail for violating her probation.
Conclusion: Operating a car while under the influence of alcohol or drugs is dangerous. She was lucky no one was killed. Such behaviour is irresponsible.
Charlie
1990 — Shot fiancee Kelly Preson in the arm.
1995 — Admitted to regularly hiring prostitutes.
1998 — Overdosed on cocaine, violating the terms of his parole.
2006 — Ordered by a judge to stay away from Denise Richards. She claimed he was physically abused her and threatened to kill her after she discovered porn involving “very young girls” on his computer.
2009 — Arrested on charges of domestic violence, after his wife Brooke Mueller claimed he held a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her during an argument.
2010 — An alleged prostitute called security after locking herself in the bathroom of Charlie Sheen’s hotel room, because he was allegedly becoming violent. Sheen was found naked in a trashed hotel room and his publicist said the cause was “adverse allergic reaction to some medication.”
Conclusion: It doesn’t seem like drugs are the cause of the problem here. Is there a rehab available for complete assholes?
