New Mother Is Only Ten-Years-Old
November 3, 2010 1 CommentDo you remember being just ten years old? Running around in the park, playing with friends after school, starting to get interested in boys and pop bands (my favourite at that age was New Kids on the Block).
Sadly, for a little girl in Spain, she will have to give all this up to be a mother to her child.
She is the youngest mother on record in Spain and is apparently in good health. But I doubt it.
Young mothers, which generally means teenage mothers, have a much higher rate of problems with pregnancy and birth and their children have more problems in early life.
Perhaps their physical health seems okay, but I can’t imagine her mental health is doing very well at this moment.
First of all, going through puberty at age nine and getting a first period that young would be traumatizing enough, but to then have sex, get pregnant, and give birth would be permanently scarring. Apparently the father of the child is also a minor, but his age has not been revealed.
I hope both the mother, father, and the child are getting good care and help through this difficult time — they will have some serious issues they need to deal with.

Gahhhhhh! Ten year olds are not mothers! They are biological capable of breeding, yes, but MOTHERS?! No no no no no no no no no no no no! This is sick on so many levels.
