Supernanny Gives Herself A Time-Out

November 11, 2010 No Comments

It is with a heavy heart that we bid farewell to Supernanny. Jo Frost has decided to hang up her cape and focus on children of her own.

She has helped 115 families learn about the naughty step and the stay in bed technique  — in addition to helping countless young people decide against having kids.

“Proper balance will allow me to date and have a relationship and look at my own future of having a family,” she told the New York Post.

“I am definitely excited about dating and being in a committed relationship. That is all exciting stuff for me around the corner.”

But what about the viewers? Who will remind us that that behaviour is not “asseptibul”?

There is no other show like it. It allowed childless people to click our tongues and declare smugly that we would never put up with that — preparing us for the denial that is parenthood.

Alas, we forgot that in the end the nanny always flies away, leaving the family a little wiser and much happier.

Bye-bye Jo-Jo!
