Marriage Annulled After Wife Suggests Having An Open Relationship
November 12, 2010 No CommentsAn Italian court has denied a woman alimony because she suggested having an open marriage with her husband — before they got married.
The idea was never put into practice and the couple were faithful throughout their marriage.
Now, it if as if their marriage never was. The union was annulled by an ecclesiastical court in Modena because of the woman’s ideas about fidelity.
“We fully support the lower court’s findings, even though there was no evidence of the woman frequenting other men,” the Cassation court ruled.
Strange then that Silvio Berlusconi’s marriage wasn’t annulled after numerous young women came forward claiming he had paid them thousands of dollars after engaging in a sexual relationship.
The take home message for married Italians seems to be cheat all you want, but don’t discuss it with your partner.
