Manga Comics Regulated For Rape
December 17, 2010 1 CommentManga comics and anime have now been regulated in Tokyo to protect under-18s from their sexually violent themes.
Now any of these comics with rape, incest, or other sex crimes will not be allowed to be sold unless the buyer is 18 or older. Retailers will be charged up to $3,500 if they break these rules.
The bill that has called for this has also asked “the industry to self regulate by toning down graphic comics and films on general release.”
Of course, people in the publishing industry are angry that they are now being censored.
But I think this is a good idea. They are popular with young people, and deal with some clearly sexually violent situations. So, just like movies and television, these comics need an age rating system to say who they are appropriate for. An out and out ban on under-18s might be a bit too strict, but we will just have to wait and see how this will be enforced and how it will play out.
The publishers will still be able to publish, people will still buy these comics online and through friends, and adults are able to do whatever they like, so I highly doubt it is worth worrying about censorship.

my question is, how often is the sexual violence/incest against men?
