Teen Comes Out To School In Inspirational Speech

A senior decided to use the Martin Luther King Jr Day assembly to come out to her school. In this eloquent speech Kayla discusses what it felt like to discover that she was gay and what she wants out of life. She said:
- Now I feel this need to stand up in front of all of you and tell you that I am gay because I want to break the silence. I want to stand up here and talk about this because no one ever does. I want to make one thing very clear — I didn’t choose to be gay.
