Anti-Bullying Flashmob Preaches Acceptance
February 9, 2011 3 Comments“Acceptance: just the way you are” was the message as a huge group of elementary and high school students wearing pink t-shirts recently took over a shopping mall in Vancouver to celebrate International Anti-Bullying Day.
Bullying is wrong in all forms, but the pink shows that homophobia was their target with this number. This is an especially important message given the number of suicides recently of gay students and the popularity of the “It Gets Better” campaign.
I hope this group sends a message to everyone that bullying, in any form, is wrong.

That’s how we roll in Canada.
All you haters can just immigrate, and we’ll teach you the art of bear hugs and mutual acceptance.
Yes, that does send a message to the world…
Not convinced it is the one intended though.
What, that we’re amazing just the way we are? Yeah, I think that’s pretty much what was intended.
