Lock Up Your Panties and Vibrators
November 11, 2011 No CommentsSomeone is stealing women’s panties and sex toys in New Brunswick.
In Saint-Paul and Sainte-Marie, women’s undergarments along with sex toys have been stolen from houses and a clothesline. Bearing in mind that the incidents, all seven of them, have been occurring since July of this year, I’m a bit surprised it has taken the RCMP this long to warn women to lock their doors.
Just a bit of petty theft coupled with a naughty fetish? Not really. Home invasion coupled with sexual harassment, even when the victims are not physically touched or threatened, are serious crimes.
In a far more dramatic example, convicted murderer Russell Williams broke into the homes of women and girls to steal underwear before embarking on more violent crimes.
The gulf between fetishism and criminal behaviour for sexual gratification is immense. This spate of panty theft may not escalate into something more sinister, but should be taken seriously.
