Your Vagina Is The Wrong Colour

Bad news, ladies. Companies have invented yet another thing that can be wrong with you.

Not only is your hair too curly, your lips too thin, your waist too thick, and your armpits not smooth enough. Now it turns out that your vagina is too dark. But don’t fret! Your disgusting problem can be treated with an expensive and potentially dangerous product!

A commercial for the vagina bleaching cream Clean and Dry “Intimate Wash” premiered in India and caused a lot of backlash. But the problem is not just in India, it’s in the US as well!

There are many products that propose to lighten your lady parts. Most of them are also harmful. While some only cause irritation and itching, others have been shown to contain mercury and other toxins.

Now, I may be wrong on this, but I really can’t imagine that a man actually cares what colour your vagina is. I think he would rather it not be dry, red, and itchy from the cream. These companies have simply invented a problem so they can sell us something to fix it with.

And let me be frank here: male genitalia is not all that pretty either. But you don’t see commercials for “penis lighteners” do you? That would be ridiculous. It’s just as ridiculous to tell women that their vaginas are the wrong colour.
