Dear Madame X,
I suspect that one of my female co-workers might have a crush on me. I think I like her but I’m not sure what to do or if it will get awkward. How do I find out for sure if she likes me?

People often say, “Don’t dip your nib in the office ink” because there can be lots of awkwardness when things go wrong.
I say, if she’s not your direct supervisor or your subordinate then there won’t be any power issues involved, which is a good thing.
But other than that, I say just ask her on a date!
We spend most of our adult lives at work and so that’s where you will meet many possible dates. Is it really worth passing up the potential of a great romance, the love of your life, or possibly just a good friend on the off-chance it makes life awkward?
As long as you’re all mature adults about it then if it does go wrong it will be okay. And if you degenerate into immature screaming children, well, you can always get a new job.
Don’t pass up on a chance at happiness.
