Part of the problem of looking at statistics for STIs is that often higher numbers are related to better testing and reporting methods. But either way, having half a million cases of STIs in the UK is something that needs to be addressed. The Health Protection Agency (HPA) just released a report saying that this ...

Some people claim that sexually active teenagers are all risk takers, trouble makers, and going to hell in a handbasket. That’s just not true. Researchers have finally sorted out casual from serious teen relationships and it looks like it’s not as simple as sex being bad.

Boots, one of the major pharmacies in the UK, will soon allow sales of emergency contraception (EC) through their website. People say this will lead to more promiscuity, STIs, and even younger girls being at risk.

The Sex Party in Australia is gearing up for their first federal election. They were created in response to the conservative government and, although they have some great ideas, it can be hard to take them seriously. When an awkward situation arises do you ever wish that you could stop time, figure out how to respond, and then deal with it? But I fail to see the problem. If your kids are sexually active don’t you want them to be able to protect themselves?! Young people, and especially ...

Last year British kids almost got sex education as a requirement in their school curriculum from age 15. But it was dropped right before the election. Now, a public health advisory group (NICE) has again said that sex education should start from age five. It’s time to stop talking and get on with starting the program!

In America, anti-abortion advocates must be celebrating in the streets. Eleven states have passed laws this year restricting abortion and 370 state bills are under consideration. I think it’s time we finally accept that women will never be completely free to choose and there will always be an ongoing battle over rights to abortion. Also, for ...
